It’s sort of hard to believe, but I’ve almost hit my New Years resolution of posting 200 times in my blog. So when you hit a goal, I guess the next thing to do is set another goal that’s a bit more challenging then your previous mark. At least that’s what I’ve been told because I’ve never had a goal much less accomplished much while wandering aimlessly through life.  So I’ve already started working on the logistics of my next years worth of work. Here’s some sneak peaks of my brainstorming and me constructing different bits of it. Some of which you may see earlier than January depending on how soon I finish these last 40+ posts to hit the 200 mark.

Oh shit, that’s depressing right? I went from having 3119 people checking out the site in May to 1599 in June? Someone is shitty at promoting their website. I’m gonna have to refocus and stop being lazy with this thing I suppose. With that said, this weekend I put together a new “Free” book to give out at shows, stores and planned parenthood.

Here’s the guts of the book. I just went through all of my files that have been on the site in the last 5 months I’ve been posting (I started in Feb.) and threw it together in a zine/collage style. It’s a pretty interesting thing to see when it’s all laid out like this.

Still got some work to do on the covers, but I’m pretty sure I’ll have a free black and white version and a $1 version with color covers and better interior paper stock. But I’ll figure that all out soon.

Anybody wanna sign up to have me mail some of these books for them to set in comic/record/clothing shops where they live?

I posted this sketch a week or so ago and I’ve finally gotten around to finishing the whole thing. It’s gonna be the cover for my next little sketchbook thing, which I’ll show more of as I complete it. But anyway, here’s the whole process from sketch to finish.

Yeah there’s no comic for the second week in a row because I’m working on putting together the book for Wondercon in April. So here’s the sketch I’m currently inking for my sketchbook. I think there’ll be a free version on the “Free Table” at the con–and then I’m gonna do a color cover and good paper version for $1 at the con as well. I’ll post the inks and hopefully the colored version of the cover later today if I can get it all banged out in between taking massive shits and restocking my stomach full of food.

Wow, it is February! January flew by—what a month. In the last week I’ve had or heard of four different people talking about checking out my blog personally. It always blows my mind/creeps me out that people are interested in whatever kind of mindless bullshit I have to say. I guess it topped it even more when I checked my monthly stats for the site. HOLY EFFING SHIT!!!!

Are you kidding me? 3936 views last month?! What did you fuck heads run out of porn?!? That’s god damn crazy. But thank you so much for checking out my measly blog. I’ll try not to shit on the fact that I’m doing something right to much. But now I guess I have to keep it going. That or die. Whichever comes first.

I have to admit that coming up with things that are actually interesting and not to mundane is very hard to maintain even with this sites low standards, so I’ve been trying to come up with some sort of “themes” for the month besides the standard Yitties on Mondays, and WTD strips on Wednesdays. So for this month I’ve found an amazing gem to dazzle you all. No not that. Not that either. OK fuck it it’s this:

It’s a little book for kids or mouth breathers who want to learn how to draw comics—and me. I still need to learn how to drawl comics so I’ve enlisted this book to help me out on becoming a success. So I’ll throw a few of these up finished by me throughout the month. Of course it will be finished in a horrific way that will inch me closer to hell with each day….but thems the breaks. I know you’re all excited just like Mr. Poopster here is excited.
