I’m pretty sure this is if not the, one of the last Kids Book pages I’ll be doing. The rest of them are just really hard to make entertaining. Maybe I’ll figure out some more down the road, but I have enough to print these–so I’m in no rush.

This page also features two of my friends/lovers Zach Trover & Jared Konopitski  please check out their respective sites by clicking on their names. If you don’t I will understand though, because Zach never updates anything and Jared is a sexual predator who can’t come within 500 yards of a school.

I think I’m slowly starting to figure out some of the things I have trouble with in coloring on the computer. I’ve watched hours upon hours of youtube videos where talentless artists cover up their mediocre artwork with amazing coloring techniques. I’m hoping to be able to do the same with my art very soon.

Holy smokes, two art updates this week? I must be ill.

Paco Rico// Dude draws some pretty nice pin up ladies along with a sprinkling of weird orc type things. It’s pretty solid design wise and I love his color palate for the pin up ladies.

Aria Giovanni// This is a completely strange index of nothing but Aria Giovanni photos. Back in 2000 I was completely obsessed with her. I even got my picture taken with her at Comic Con in San Diego. I can’t find the picture where she is resting her wonderful, giant breasts on my shoulder like it was a hawk and I was in the movie Beastmaster, so you get this instead.

I don’t even know how I’m supposed to follow a perverts treasure trove of Aria Giovanni but I’m gonna try.

Dustin Harbin// There is nothing I enjoy more than reading comic artists blogs about things that aren’t about comics. Mr. Harbin is very entertaining and why should I have to convince you when there’s his amazing bit on, The Bachelor.

Freakonomics// I stumbled onto Freakonomics through the film that they made which completely blew me away. I love the way that they presented a lot of things in a way that I had never thought about in the slightest. They have a really good site and there’s also the podcast that you can get for free on iTunes. I really, really think everyone should give the movie a watch because even though you might not agree with some of the ideas that are presented, it really does challenge normal peoples way of processing ideas.

The Beat// The Beat is really the only site I check out when I want to find out about what’s going on with comic books. Which is rare. I’m forcing myself to pick up more books because I’m so out of the god damn loop it’s not even funny. I want to find some new artists that I’ve never seen before and read some new good shit. One day I’m hoping that I can finally snag a copy of Brandon Graham’s Prophet comic and I can’t wait to check out Becky Cloonan’s work on Conan, pesky bottom teeth be damned! I didn’t even know that DC had relaunched it’s entire stable of books with all new #1′s. I’m a retard.

threeA// threeA makes some of the sickest toys I’ve ever seen. If I didn’t already have a retarded collection of GI Joes, these would be next. It’s just hard to justify to my fiancee that spending $100 on 1 action figure is a worthwhile investment. It’s much easier to buy 11 $8 GI joes and get away with it. But the Fighting JC figure they dropped is really amazing. Who wouldn’t want a Jesus action figure that looks like he’s an extra on that movie The Road?

Chezerbey// A pretty slick blog documenting someones personal home transformation, as well as some really nice interior design ideas. I’ll prolly steal some images for the next installment of Interior Porn on Tuesday. Ooooh dropping plugs.

And that’s it for now. I’m tired and still sick. My body is achy and this boner won’t go away. 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one…

Click Fer PG 01

So I’ve started going through all of my old comics, comic ideas and random drawings I have laying around to toss shit out and organize  it into a non-hoarder way. Wait, maybe I should start this over so it’ll make more sense…

Now that I’ve almost finished my goal for 2011 of doing 200 blog posts in one year ( 7 posts away fuckers!)  it’s sort of created this strange vacuum in my life of “what’s next?” Which I suppose is a question a lot people ask themselves when they finally finish renovating their house, finally get retire from jobs they’ve had for half a decade or are even thinking about how to get the random skank they’ve picked up at the bar out of their house after you’ve cum all over her hair instead of her face. So I’ve been sitting around trying to figure what my artistic goal would be for 2012. I had to think of something that would be difficult for me personally and yet plausibly attainable. I’ve had to readjust my life goals since I’ve realized that raw dogging Anne Hathaway in a gas station bath room was both logistically complex and realistically not going to come to fruition.

So I’ve come up with idea of making 10 books this year. I’m not sure what these book will be, whether it’ll be zine inspired books, prose, poorly written poetry, pictures of my flaccid penis or at worst more of my comics. I’m sure it’ll be a combination of sorts because I’m only focusing on making things that interest me or would be things I would enjoy.

Cut back to the beginning of this post to how I was going through my giant mess of forgotten ideas and abandoned comics. I was appalled, entertained and a little sad at some of the stuff I’d found (an example of which is below this paragraph.) Some of the shit was just awful looking and some of it was only half finished and abandoned. There were also some things I looked over and thought “I’m pretty sure I can re-work this into something that’s not as shitty as the original thing.”

So with this first book I’m gonna go ahead and re-draw (and in some aspect re-write) to make this work for me now. I’m gonna color the whole thing and actually print a limited number of them in color as well. I’m guess-timating that the colored versions would only run around 50 copies, but whatever is sold of them will go to print 200 black & white versions of that same book that’ll be at random places for free. But enough thinking out loud about logistics of my next project, lets just jump into this crap cock first and hopefully hope it works.
